INGREDIENTS
600 chicken breast
150 grams greek yogurt
1 tbsp cumin seed powder
1 tbsp coriander seed powder
Half tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp tumeric powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp red pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
Sauce:
1 onion chopoed
2 bay leaves
2 diced tomatoes
1tbsp olive oil
1 can tommatoes
100 ml soya single cream
Salt
Fresh coriander
INSTRUCTION
For the marination, cut chicken cubes into a large bowl. Add in the yogurt and all the spices. Mix everything well so that the chicken is evenly coated with the marination.
Place in fridge for 30 minutes and let it marinate. You can marinate the night before for more intense flavour
For sauce, heat up pan with oil, add onion and cook until soft. Add bay leves and let it cook for 1 minute to bring out the flavour. .
Add in the diced tomato and stir cook for 2 minutes until a bit soft. Then add in can tomatoes with and soya cream and mix well.
Cover and let it cook for 5 minutes until tomato has softened considerably. Now you can add in the chicken with the marination and mix all together. Cover and cook on medium heat until chicken is soft about 15 minutes.
After your chicken us done take out bay leaf and serve Chicken Tikka Masala with some rice, naan bread and sprinkle with fresh coriander on top!
